Cashing In

Cashing in is the process of entering note and coin counts to set up the starting cash total on the POS (also called an "opening balance or opening float"). After you cash in, the total is automatically updated with each cash, cheque and gift card transaction performed on the POS, including payouts, until you do a Cash-Out. You should typically cash in at the beginning of a shift or, at a minimum, at the start of every day.

NOTE: If you are operating PAYD Pro PlusTM in a multi-lane environment, the Cash-In pertains only to the POS in use.

NOTE: If you are operating the PAYD Pro Plus Mobile App, please refer to the Cashing In instructions that pertain to cashing in on the Mobile Solution.

The Cash-In popup appears automatically after any of the following:

To complete the Cash-In:

  1. In the denomination textboxes, enter counts for each applicable denomination: $100, $50, $20, $10, $5, $2, $1, 25c, 10c and 5c.

  1. If applicable, enter amounts in the Cash and Cheque textboxes.
NOTE: If you have any coin rolls, please fill in the quantity of rolls in the Rolls fields to the right of the denomination. For example, if you have 8 loose quarters and one roll of quarters, you would enter '8' into the $0.25 field and '1' into the Rolls field beside it.

PAYD Pro Plus automatically calculates the Cash-In total as you enter values.

  1. Click OK.

NOTE: Any textboxes that are left blank are treated as 0.
