Posting Pending Transactions

PAYD Pro PlusTM constantly monitors for and detects pending transactions that require force posting (shown at the top right corner of the POS view). Pending transactions consist of 1) sales transacted while PAYD Pro Plus was in Offline Mode (Offline transactions) and 2) card present credit sales requiring authorization via IVR (Card Present IVR transactions).

PAYD Pro Plus stores pending transactions locally on the POS lane until they are posted. You must force post pending transactions to update the Moneris host and your PAYD Pro Plus inventory and transaction history on the PAYD Pro Plus server in order to reconcile them with the POS lane. Cashing out or having a batch close before pending transactions are posted produces imbalanced results.

NOTE: If you are operating PAYD Pro Plus in a multi-lane environment, a force post applies only to the transactions pending on the POS in use. To post transactions pending on another POS lane, you must log in to that POS lane and do a force post from there.

It is important to note that Offline transactions and Pending transactions are treated differently. Offline transactions are NOT reflected on the POS until successfully posted. If a Product ID from a pending Offline transaction does not match an item in inventory at the time of posting, the item is treated as a non-inventory item . Card Present IVR transactions are reflected on the POS and have a Pending status. Once posted successfully, the status changes to Completed.

To post pending transactions:

  1. On the POS view, click the Tools tab.

  1. On the Tools button panel, click Post Pending Transactions.

A dialogue box informs you that all pending transactions on the POS have been posted.

  1. Click OK.

The number of pending transactions on the POS view is reset to 0.
