Cashback on Debit Transactions

It is possible to offer Cashback to customers on purchases paid by debit card if:

NOTE: Cashback is not available on the Moneris PAYDTM PIN Pad used with the PAYD Pro Plus Mobile App.

The Cashback parameters are configured in the Configuration - Settings screen. You can enable Cashback and enter a maximum amount. For example, your business might wish to dole out no more than $40 in Cashback on a debit purchase due to a limited amount of cash you keep on hand.

When the customer is paying by Debit, you can ask if they want cash back on their purchase. If the customer indicates that they do want cash back on their purchase, you can enter the amount in the Debit Purchase screen. Refer to the Processing a Debit Payment topic for instructions.

NOTE: Cashback does not apply to Refund transactions.

NOTE: Cashback is not applicable to contactless "tapped" debit cards. If the customer wants cashback, but has a contactless debit card, they will need to insert the card into the iPP320's Chip card reader, or swipe it. See Card Entry Methods for more information.
