Surcharge on Debit Transactions

It is possible to add a surcharge to purchases paid by debit card if:

The Surcharge parameters are configured in the Configuration - Settings screen. You can set a minimum and maximum transaction dollar amount against which the surcharge will be applied.

If the amount being charged to a customer's debit card on a Purchase falls within the specified range, the PIN Pad will prompt the customer that a Surcharge is being applied to their debit purchase. The customer must acknowledge the Surcharge amount by pressing the green   key on the PIN Pad before proceeding.

NOTE: If the customer presses the red key on the PIN Pad, the debit purchase aborts, a cancellation receipt prints and the POS view appears.

NOTE: Surcharges do not apply to Refund transactions.  

Surcharges collected through the integrated PINpad are visible on the Products tab in the Sale Details popup window, on the Debit Surcharge Report, and in the Summary section of the Sales report.
